This is the most popular heirloom pepper in Peru. Made famous in potatoes with cheese sauce dishes, it goes well with many cultural recipes. For many, this is one of their favorite peppers!

• Heat rating is about 30k - 50k Scoville

• Germination is about 21 days with true leaf to harvest at about 120 days.

• Use seed starting mix initially and transplant in an organic potting soil.

• Prune for a more prolific crop and keep the roots moderately dry/moist to increase production.

• Keep warm while germinating, and transplant when possible frost is gone and average nighttime temp is above 68 degrees.

Germination rate is generally greater than 85% when following instructions listed in the item description. If rate is less than 85% we will gladly replace defective seed.
